What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy supports people to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout life. This includes providing services where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors. IRIS Physiotherapists are involved in health promotion, injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
After assessing a patient’s potential for movement and function, we establish an individualised program with goals designed to restore or develop each person's potential. Therapies include stretching, a range of movement exercises, strengthening exercises, balance training, equipment assessments, and mobility re-education.
